Obama clinches democratic nomination

Senator Barack Obama is now looking to unify Democrats after becoming the first African-American to win the presidential nomination of a major U.S. party. Last night, the Illinois senator received the 2,118 delegates he needed to clinch the nomination. His rival, Senator Hillary Clinton, hasn't conceded and said she would consult with party leaders and supporters to determine her next move. Obama will face presumptive Republican nominee Senator John McCain in November's election.
